At least that’s the case for one baby who was delivered at a station in Mexico City and has now been given the privilege of never having to pay for a ticket again.
The baby’s 22-year-old mother gave birth after she decided to catch the train to the hospital but started having contractions before she could get there.
She was aided by subway employees, police and paramedics, who all helped deliver the baby at the entrance to the platform.
Mayor Miguel Angel Mancera tweeted the boy would have the right to ride the subway free for life.
At the moment an unlimited journey on the Mexico City subway costs three pesos (15 pence), a price we would also love to have over here in the UK.
